LURE series
The LURE pieces are an extension of the Botanical Duet wall pieces. With the Duets, there is a tension between the two parts, revealing their give and take relationship. With the larger Lure series, the pieces aim to attract the viewer in the same way that a plant would attract a pollinator. The size and color of the piece draws in the viewer, bringing them closer in order to reveal what it has hidden for them. My intent is to have them find the equivalent of sustenance - in this case visual sustenance.
